Default Ram1500

My Dodge ram pickup 1995,1500 ,just put new heads, timing chain and gears new intake manifold gaskets including the phelum ,, when I start the truck it high idles at 2k checked all vacuum lines routing,no leaks ,,
If anyone knows what is wrong or has idea what can be causing it to high idle constantly I sure would appreciate help, new IAC tps coil camshaft sensor crank sensor or if anyone has 5.2 engine to where you can actually make a video of the vacuum lines in the correct way that would be huge help at this point,,,,,,just can't seem to figure out why or what is causing it to high idling constantly
Can anyone help me please thank you God bless

Try a quick test...... Disconnect the battery for five minutes, turn on the headlights, (battery still disconnected) turn off headlights, turn ignition to 'on' (not start) count to 10, don't touch ANYTHING. Start the truck. See if it figgers out idle. If it doesn't, you likely have a vacuum leak somewhere..... If you can't find an obviously leak, disable PCV system, take off the oil fill cap, how much vacuum ya got there?

What year did they start needing a computer to synchronize the injectors?

I'm pretty sure the 1988 and '89 were TBI injection so the ignition timing was more old fashioned. I think sometime in the mid to late 90's the distributor was synchronized with the injectors. A 2000 Cadillac Escalade was the first year for GM, I think.

I guess im not sure, by 96 for sure with OBD2 they did, I've never actually played with an OBD1, outside of my grandpas 90', but never anything major with that, i thought that was MPFI, but i guess i cant even say that with confidence, and he no longer owns it to check

Sequential fuel injection came with the magnum motors. 3.9 and 5.2 in 92, I think, followed by the 5.9 a year later. Prior to that, they were TBI.....

I was thinking that, but wasn't sure. Sakes, I'm old enough I still count battery caps to see what voltage I'm working with. I remember when that new fangled electronic ignition came in.

MANY of my cars were breaker-point ignition....... How many folks today know what a tach/dwell meter is.
