bought the kit from APS then took it to a tranny to shop to get a professional install and with everything it was $300 that was for the kit, intall, ATF +4. I love the way it shifts.

I'm getting one hopefully within the new month. But I have a question. If I get this and install it and my tranny needs to be rebuild in a little while is the kit still good or do you need to buy another one after a rebuild?[&:]

Also, can someone who has one describe how the shift feels after the kit was installed? My worry is that the shifts will be so stiff and quick, that it will be really jerky. I don't mind so much, but my primary passenger might (the wife).

Just to double check before ordering is this the correct transgo shift kit?

http://www.transmissionpartsusa.com/...-00054931b.htm

I read through posts and most say it should cost 100, this is only 40 or so with shipping.

had a Trans Go in mine for a while really liked the way it shifted, had a valve bore in the vb go bad and replaced it with a vb from aps. The Trans Go has a few differnet levels of firmness that you can choose from, from rv to "showin off" I chose the street, strip. Gave a good solid shift without being to harsh. If you decide the shift is to firm for your likeing you can always turn the pressure regulator down and that will soften the shift abit.
