i been looking at the transgo shift kits and i was wondering are they really worth it and does it beat up the trans pretty bad i would like to hear the 35's bark win it shifts at high rpms i would appreciate any feedback from anybody with one
The kits create higher presure inside the trans, which is good. If I remember right it actually makes the shifts harder. Which is also good. The smoother the shift the more slipage there is, and slipage = friction. Friction = Heat. Heat = Tranny worst nightmare.
For these trannies they're TOTALY worth it, I'm ordering mine soon!
Also if you tow at all get a big aux trans cooler.
I asked a friend of mine who has his own transmission shop about a shift kit for my 99 Ram. He said Superior makes a good shift kit. I mentioned the Transgo kit. He said they are good, but he usually sticks with the Superior for Dodges. Just my 2 cents.
