Power control module. On the 96 it's located on passensger side near top of firewall. hope that helps.

 

It has 3 big wire harnesses going into it, should be a silver is color if theres not a bunch of crap on it

Its the computer is laymens terms

 

Where would it be in a 2000 Dodge ram 1500?

 

they are all located in the same place.. pass side firewall.. three large wire bundles connected to it.. silver in color.. with heat sinks

 

Do I need one of those computers to find out the code and stuff? I got the P1757 code in my odometer screen tonight after doing the key trick...

 

nope.. just take that code and punch it into a yahoo search.. its ODBII .. its all the same regardless what vehicle it comes from... from a honda , yota', ram, etc etc,,,

decoding it is the trickey part

ALSO get yourself a haynes manual from autozone/advanced,, etc etc they list all the applicable codes in the middle of the book
