Jeep Tow Rig - Power Wagon or 2500 Cummins?

RE: Jeep Tow Rig - Power Wagon or 2500 Cummins?
I pull a trailer every day for work. 2200 lbs for the trailer itself, another 3000 or so for the machine that's on the trailer, and a bed full of tools. My work truck is a 99 F250 2WD 5.4 gas motor. It pulls it, but it don't really like it. In comparison, my borther-in-law/business partner runs an 01 2500 Dodge 4WD, with the Cummins. Night and day difference. The same trailer, same load, barely deflects the springs on the Dodge, and with the diesel, you don't even know that the trailer is back there, unless you look through the vastly superior mirrors.
My personal Dodge on the other hand, doesn't even have a hitch on it, nor will it. (Because we're pretty sure the trans will fall out of it shortly thereafter!)
