Seen this thread on here, called Gary Miller here in Erie, Pa our main Dodge Dealer, my truck has 116,000 on it they replaced the whole thing no questions asked, just took down my vin set the date for repair, took it in they put a whole new unit including the header y pipes to the cat at the muffler, no charge to me at all, and truthfully I don't think there was anything wrong with mine, figured if they are replacing I would give it a try to save from a future problems, low and behold it was replaced no question asked, and no out of pocket expense, now I am going to buy a set of headers and dual exhuast and that way its new from the block back.......

Awsum thanks for the tip guys!!!!!!

If you want to know what is needed or if it has been fixed run into the dealer get them to check the vin they will tell you what is going on, while your in get them to print the build sheet for you truck.
this will tell how it came off the line alot of good info.

I called direct to Chrysler and talked with them as mine was not on list. Mine is a 99 with 360, 84,000 miles. She said take it to dealer to have them verify it's rattling. Took it to dealer, she had already called and set it up. Dealer checked it and said it was bad and he would order parts and would call me to set up appointment as soon as he had parts to fix it. They also found outstanding recall on trailer hitch, he's ordering parts for that and will fix it at the same time.
