Yup, its just an extended warrenty. Somebody else said that if you had it replaced a while back and have the original recipt you can write them a letter with the recipt and possibly get your $$ back. Dunno if its true.

It's true. I did exactly that. If you get the letter, it has instructions on what to do. Here is the post I did on this. Just got my check the other day.

looking at your other post ive noticed that my truck was not listed (96 3.9l). however, they did send me THE letter and said my warranty had in fact been extended. I replaced my clogged stock cat the the magnaflow high flow well over a year ago, just looking for a receipt.

Ya, I suspect that there are a few variations of the letter, with different models/years covered for different letters. I have heard others say the same thing as you. I hope you find your receipt. It's a good deal.

yea .. thats a good question.. im a second owner ... and i havnt received a damn thing on my truck about recalls/or warrants... my uncle is a second owner of a f150 (i just puked a little bit in my mouth) and he gets stuff all the time in the mail about warrentys and recalls...

i know that im in that catagory but i replaced my cat with a magnaflow myself when i did my exhaust... so i dont know if im eligible for a refund or movie check

I'm a second owner, but did receive my letter. Somehow, Chyrsler has to know that you are the owner of that VIN. Call them up if you have not received the letter. I read on another forum that they have a database of all the VINs affected. You might be in that list, but they just don't know how to contact you.
