Really sorry to hear that. I am very suprised, Edelbrock stuff is usually very good quality.

Maybe try the Edelbrock Silver ceramic coating instead of the Ti-tech coating. This is how my Edelbrock Silver ceramic coated look after 7 months of use. No signs of rust or anything that I can tell. I am very happy with them.

The only reason things rust where you are is all that radioactive waste in NJ[sm=lol.gif][:@]. Schott and I live in the salt capitol of the world Western New York. As far as you getting them forget it, I had dibs on the last set!!!!

Ryan just face it the ti-tech coating will do nothing for us. On the 87 I had hedmans and just painted them with high temp grill paint, never had to do anything with them again. I agree with silver get the chrome and if my memorys correct Gibsons are chrome, right Steve. If it is the engine compartment temp you are worried about, don't, you are a moving object. Any heat that would build up will actually be carried out of there under the truck. Simple Engineering in one end out the other. Think about it you are going 65 down the 90 ,air is being forced in the engine compartment through the rad. Where does it go? HUM! Right passed the exhaust down under the truck out the back taking alot of that heat with it. Remember you are getting the cool air into your CAI from the front not the engine compartment. If its a matter of the inlet tube heating up, I don't think it matters that much. K&N did all those test they do and designed a system that had to take eveything in to consideration. They knew there would be a bunch of guys out there that would go ape sh$t with their rams. If not why would they sell them to us? I would call Edelbrock and tell him that you are a guy who has put two of the worst sets of headers you have seen on your truck, and you would like to talk to Vic. Explain to him what has happened and that you have informed over 30,000 people of it. Hopefully you could get a set of chromes for free, but that's a stretch. I'm sure with this being the second set they may be more inclined to do more then just send another set for the same price. JMO

Where are you moving to??

yea thats true scott..never thought of the air movement udner the hood... along with airmovement i bet im getting mist from when its wet outside .. i bet the headers are getting moist/wet along with salt on them... im staying in JELLO-TOWN but just moving to a different apt... hate my land lord and the new place is cheaper..easier to save for a house ... its off a side road down rt.19 off the 490/90 exits... just outside the village of leroy... after im done with MCC imgonna look for jobs out of nys... who knows

i will be calling edelbrock again and tellhing them that every 2gen owner on dodgeforum.com has seend my pics and heard my opinion .... maybe i can get something done with that...

ill keep everyone updated.

Ya that's true. Rust is never really an issue here. Good point.
