And yet another reason why headers arent in my future plans. I see some serious heat damage in your future, the coating is literally smoked off. I would look at a thermal wrap as soon as u can.

I have Edelbrock ceramic coated headers too, but they do not look like that. Mine are not ti-tech coated, they are the other coating Edelbrock provides called Silver Ceramic coating. They have been on for about 6 months or so now, and still look like new. I'll post some pics of how they look now, but this is what they looked like right after installation.

yea... i got hosed tommy... happy with the performance but inhappy with the fact that they are rusting already... anywho... i talked to edelbrock techs and they said dont thermo wrap them... b/c the ceramic coating keeps extranal and radiant temps down..but if that crap is rusting off then ill have some nasty heat problems in the future.... amanda has the same ones ,,and i guess shes having the same problem..im gonna wait to see what she thinkg then ill probablly call edelbrock and let them hear my thoughts.

That really suprises me. The ti-tech coating (according to the Edelbrock tech I spoke with when I bought mine) is supposed to be the better coating, good to much higher temps. He said they recommend those on race engines and such, but for daily drivers, the silver ceramic coating would be plenty. I would be sending them back if I were you. I have dealt with Edelbrock in the past, and they are usually good about doing whatever it takes to make you happy. Good luck.

Ceramic coated should not do that. I had a ceramic coated Pacesetter (cheapo) on my cavalier for 6 years not a spot of rust. They must have skipped a step in the process (heating/drying) for them to spot like that. Won't be buying that but the Silver Edelbrock looks in great shape.. and those Gibsons look good too [sm=loveeyes.gif]

Tell them you want new ones and sent them those pics. Then sent those my way

I think you got a defective one from the looks of yours and other peoples.
