Gas prices - What are you paying?
In Jersey it's about 2.24 for regular right now and 2.39 for Diesel. It was up to 3.50+ after Katrina then down to 1.90 for regular in late November. Diesel has been all over the board for the last year. Sometimes .10 cents more than gas sometimes .60 cents more. New Jersey is currently facing a 5 BILLION dollar budget deficit and the Transportation Trust Fund that funds road & Bridge building & improvements through the Gas Tax is 9 months from going broke cause the tax hasn't been raised in years and the Legislature raided the Fund for years for other projects. We are currently about 5th from the bottom in the U.S. for gas tax rates. So, our gas prices are probably going to rise dramatically in the next couple months.
Exxon just posted the largest yearly profit of ANY American company EVER last year- $235 Billion---PROFIT---NOT gross.
When I bought my Cummins in August 2000, Diesel was .99 per gallon. Go figure.....

$2.09/gallon in Minnesota today. It seems to jump up and down 20 cents every other day for no apparent reason. All our oil comes down a pipeline from Alberta to the refineries here. Price gouging was worldwide after the hurricanes [:@]

Socha, I live in Allegan Mi and have to drive to Muskegon 3 to 4 times a week. Right now it's 2.49 in Allegan and 2.28 in Muskegon. Pretty sad when only 70 miles apart but such a big differance.
Yeah its wuerd. I heard that gas prices should only differ approx. 10 cents across the state. Why does Michigan vary like 40 cents! [&:]
