Gas prices - What are you paying?
For the past 2 years *******, MI has consistantly been ranked in the top 10 for towns with the highest gas prices according to www.michigangasprices.com. There is a localy owned company that owns and supplies just about 1/2 the gas stations in the town and being a tourist town, we have a TON of gas stations. I can think of 15 of the top of my head. Anyways, this company has always gouged gas prices, and there is proof as that site I listed above. Well anyways the grocery chain I work for just purchased the gas station in front of our store. We also got a supplier from down near the Detriot area. The first day we opened gas went from $2.49/gallon for regular, to our store opening at $2.29. This had made for a rather interesting week. Gas prices have been all over from $2.39 to $2.08 which is what were at right now.
Our station is open about the fact that we are charging BELOW cost for gas. This has made the rich people that own these gas stations freak out and get all pissed off. Everynews paper this week has written about how were changing the towns gas, and how other stations owners are all pissed off cause they can't sell any gas unless its below cost.
I LOVE IT
Were all getting pay back for this company gouging they're prices. Its apparent that the profits were all going into they're pockets too. The guy that owns the place drives a brand new pimped out H2. And his wife an Escalade...
So HA! Thats all I wanted to say
And figure out what you guys pay at the pump.
$2.08 for regular in *******, MI (plus my $0.03 cents off from associate discount, so really $2.05!)

im looking at a steady flucuation between 2.35ish to 2.50 here in western ny.. we have indian reservations that we can go to and get gas and tabaco considerably less b/c the indian reservations are tax exempt... so they sell gas at around 2.00 bux a gallon for 89 octane...i try to make it out there as much as possible but i live far enough away where sometimes it isnt worth it
We were paying $3.39/gallon right after the hurricane thanks to that companys gouging.
I like it at $2.05! Its about 17 cents below cost lol

here in maryland its pretty much between 2.29 and 2.49.. depending which gas station you go to.. right after katrina it was up close to 3.60 a gallon.. but i saw on the news after the hurricane gas prices were up close to 6 bucks a gallon in atlanta, georgia
$2.09/gallon in Minnesota today. It seems to jump up and down 20 cents every other day for no apparent reason. All our oil comes down a pipeline from Alberta to the refineries here. Price gouging was worldwide after the hurricanes [:@]

$2.19 pretty much everywhere here in St Charles County (west suburb of St Louis) It went up .20 in one day last week. falls a penny or two a day for about 5-8 days, then shoots up .20 or so again. You gotta time it right to get the best price. I fill every week so its a pain in the butt.
