Need to find out what codes are coming up. Some shops will read them for free, others will have small fee for it, others will want to charge an hour labor..... Call around to the independent shops that are nearby, see what they will do for you.

Were you able to bleed the rears? Did you get good fluid flow back there?

Sorry to reopen this old topic...sorta!

First off...thank you to all of you experts for leading me in the right direction!

My situation >was< that I would turn on the key, the lights all come on, then all go off (normal operation), then something in the rear whirs like a small motor for about 1 second, then the ABS light and the brake light both come back on simultaneously. Nothing else happens, and all systems are normal. No squishy brake, stiff brake, no brake, CC turning off, none of that. It brakes normally and runs normally. Brake fluid is full.

I fixed mine in about 3 minutes, and that's counting crawling under it and back out!
The speed sensor on the rear differential is on top of the pumpkin, and it's like the only thing up there, so it's hard to miss. All I had to do was wiggle the connector back and forth as if I was trying to take it out. Then I pushed it in with a little pressure. That's it! What that did is to slightly burnish the contacts. It worked! If it decides to fail again, then I will take it completely out and clean the contacts really good.

So that's my fix!
