I'm thinking of getting new tire on my truck, has anyone have or had the BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A.

if your going to be offroad.. i dont recommend a/t's.. i have them and all they do is get caked in mud in the 1st hole and your done. the tread is way to close together.. but in snow it works fine. it snowed 14 inches last night and it handled fine in it

I bought my 98 1500 4x4 about 3 months it came with 285/75/16 t/a ko's. Now they are almost to the wear bar so I really cant give a fair review for ya, but Ill try. Dry they have good taction, wet its not good. Light snow is ok and muddy bean fields they werent ok at best. As I said tho it is hard to actually say wat they are new but they are ok almost gone. I dont know the exact miles but I know they have over 35,000 on them for sure. OOO ya one more thing I have had 2 holes in 2 tires and a nail is in one of them now as well, they kinda seem to punture easy.

Check out the tire at tirerack.com

They have good information at that site. They give comparisons and the reviews by people who purchased the tires are interesting. You just have to keep in mind that the reviews are opinions. If you read enough of the reviews, you can generally come up with a consensus on whether or not the tire is right for you.

i absolutely agree with young_buck..... dont get all terrains. their a compromise- they try to make a tire that is good on the road and off road, and basically ruin the tires performance on BOTH cuz they compromised so much. my dunlop mud rovers are incredible off road and honestly dont have the howl at 70mph+ speeds that most mud tires do.

A/T no go anywhere. Here in western new york its snow tires in the winter and mud tires in construction season. I have found the best of both worlds this past week. Lee Ridge Runners M/S, you got it mud and snow tires all in one. I was not to sure about them so the shop got one so I can see it. It has some serious lugs for the mud and in the lugs are clearing grooves for the snow and slush. they do hum a little but not like swamppers do. A lot of snow this week and I am impressed with them so far. We are due for a warm up later this week so I will go hit the bean fields to see how they are in the mud.
