just curious why you didnt paint up the block while you were at it...

also did they hot tank that block? looks like the lifter gally is still kinda nasty oilblack color

lookin good dude!!! pistons look like great shape too... did you clean them and how so?
They tanked and fluxed the block. I am not worried. I was going to paint the lifter gallery until the machinist said that the Dodge has such big drain holes that it's not worth it. The shop washed the pistons as well.

I asked if paint on the block adds 20HP, and he told me that it depends on the color of the paint

I don't care to paint it since it will burn off anyway. I want to get this thing running by the 16th so I can haul some VW parts to the Tulsa show on September 23rd. I did some polishing on the heads, so I will post pics of them when I get them home. What I did is better than nothing. I am also waiting on my rebuilt fuel pump/sending unit. Tomorrow (if I remember) will wash out the gas tank.

Here is an update. Refer back to Page 2 of this thread at my injectors and runner. Here are pictures of the fuel pressure regulator that my friend, who works for the company that makes them, split open today. What these tell me is that the regulator should be changed about every 40,000 or so, because it acts as a secondary filter. I am thinking that later on I will remove my hard fuel lines and install an addition filter that I can change out on a regulat basis.
