Yes I will be on the dyno with it to tune it. Not going to play around at the track with the new motor till things are right. Spending too much to chance it. Na prior to the s/c install I estimate it was around 275-280rwhp. I did dyno 270 2 1/2 yrs ago.
Just by the #s it took 375rwhp to run the 12.91 best I ran end of last fall. But that doesnt take anything into account. Considering the poor weather conditions, (corrected to 2400'asl/strong headwind) stock computer no tune, running sort of ok and bouncing off the mph limiter means it would take more. Considering conditions/limitations probably about 385-395rwhp to run that et.
With the new setup the main area that is questionable with my software is inputting the heads. Only alum head choices are either race heads or stock replacement performance heads. Valves on the stock replacements are much smaller with 1.94/1.50 vs 2.02/1.60. Valve size can be changed in the software. The race heads were closer and took less adjustments with 2.05/1.60 vs 2.02/1.60. For porting my choices are basic/matched, generous, thorough and extensive.
Software tells me a minimum of 535rwhp or 715hp at the flywheel(w/8psi) when selecting stock replacement performance alum heads and generous port work
The best case senario is 625rwhp and 847hp flywheel(w/9psi). I choose the race alum heads and basic porting and matched
Thanks for the links brute, I didnt know there was a track up that way, if I were to go, June 3 would be it. Dodge Day

Looks like a nice build. One comment though ; don't place too much faith in the simulater programs, they're usually way off. For example, my buddy's 3800 lb cuda makes 450 crank hp and runs 11.80's and 7.60's in the 1/8th mile. He races at Luskville and will be there on Mopar day, june 3rd....he is on the organizing comittee for that event. I hope to have my heap ready by then as well (68 Charger R/T). Just waitin for paint then reassembly. I luv racetrucks and yours looks fantastic.

For now my weak auto trans will have to do. Double coolers, deep alum pan with temp sensor/gauge, 2800stall tc, stageIII shift kit and manual valve body running synthectics. I will be talking to my tranny guy shortly. Hes also the Procharger distributor for Ontario

Nice, love cuda's and charger's, you guys are making me want to make the trip more n more. LOL

Most software is crap, no arguements.
I do listen to Dragstrip plus though for the most part. Years ago, told me within .006 of what my new best et would be, ran a 14.496 that day back in 99. (said 14.49/didnt believe it). 2.5yrs ago it esitmated my first dyno pull would be 270rwhp, I dynoed exactly 269.35rwhp. Last fall, it told me I would run a 12.62-72(unsure of boost I would see), I figure I would of run that in good conditions without limitations.
Just now before posting, I thought I would try someone elses truck. I punched in my good buddies exact combo, valve size, degree of port, cr, piston type, intake type, intake manifold, exhaust dia, header dia, etc etc etc etc etc. It told me his combo would run a 12.84. It was off by .01. I watched him run a 12.85 best last October. The heads were stage II steel rt heads, I entered the basic port/matched with steel race heads to get the 12.85. The rwhp it said he would make was only 386, his dyno before the pass was 401/456 to the wheels. This software includes air temp, baro and humidity as well as asl.
Compared to my buddy I have stgIII heads, more lift, same duro, cut on a 114 (him 112) plus 8-9psi but my cr is 1.8 less. My truck is probably 100-150lbs lighter as well. ATI claims 55% for the P-1SC w/2core, another buddy got 54.5%. I have the D-1SC with 3 core.
Ill go out on a limb, 560-585rwhp tuned is pretty close to what I think I will see
