Default shock recommendation

I'm looking to get new shocks for my '01 Ram 1500 2x4. What do you guys here recommend? It is mostly for the street / towing but then I like a stiffer ride as I'm used to driving sports cars and old 1 ton's. What does everyone here like?

The sky's the limit for you, Edelbrocks, Rancho, Skyjacker, Bilstein, Monroe, KYB. Oil filled or Nitro filled, its endless. The question is how much you want to send. A set of 4 Skyjackers run about 180, Edelbrocks 300. But to your question I like Skyjackers, I have ran them on my 87 and now on my 96 they are stiff, but smooth, The next set I get will be coilovers.

check out the CarQuest Gas Bruisers. They are made by Gabrial and feature the G-force valve system. I've got them on mine and for towing they can't be beat. They change the valving in the shock as you drive. When camper is hooked up the stiffen up with the increase in load. Take the camper off and they soften up. The best part is they only run about $30.00 a shock. +lifetime warr.

i found some pictures of dual shock mounts on pavementsucks.com.... the guy didnt put the main shock back in though, he only put on the outside the spring shock. (I dont know why. basically he had a dual shock mount with only one shock). anyways it looked pretty good and im kind of interested in doing it for my truck..... but would it be pointless with a three inch lift?? i cant decide if 3 inches is enough for two shocks. i know i dont NEED it, but im just brainstorming. any thoughts?
