i think he is trying to get the broken bolt out not trying to find the head,
but your deffanatley right if you droped it down there (ive been knowen to not know how to read lol) you had better find it

I did this EXACT same thing last Nov... caused by picking up the WRONG torque wrench and torquing down the pan in ft lbs instead of in lbs...
yanking the bolt was easy... went to sears and got a 4 piece extractor set... drilled a shallow hole in the piece that was in the manifold and used the extractor to pull it out... it was pretty easy and it came right out.

Thanks for all the help. With the extractors I was able to back the bolt out and finish with project. You would think all a happy ending. Well this morning I wake up and there is a smal puddle of transmission fluid under the truck. Nothing I did with the plenum gasket should of caused a transmission fluid leak should it?
