Yes the turbonator will work because the weight reduction of your wallet will out weight the gained weight of the turbonator thus better gas milage. Don't believe everything that you hear. The turbonator will actually cause a vortex to form because if you use it with a turbo car, the driving quality is greatly reduced. But to the extent of if it helps??? I don't think so. We've done testing here at Wayne State for Formula SAE with a smoke machine and clear piping to simulate a wind tunnel. It does swirl the air, but it reduces the volume of air it can pass.

so out of all of that...

the turbonator reduces the volume of air going into the engine which is really want you want... so.. unless it's carbed.. seems like a waste of money.... or a good gag gift.

We just received the turbonators today...in the US mail...$2.07 shipping, for which they charged us $10...not a good start. They're supposed to be BRAND SPECIFIC Each vehicle has a completely different air intake, but they marked one for the Durango and one for the Ram, which are identical (the turbonators, not the air intakes). For $hits and giggles, I put the one in the Durango, and we'll see if the wife notices any difference. Didn't even bother trying to install it in the Ram, since there's NOWHERE for it to go! Don't waste your money! Now, to send the one for the Ram back, they will reimburse us for the part, but their "money back guarantee" doesn't include any of the "expedited" shipping cost, nor regular shipping. And to top it all off, they THINK they're going to charge me a 15% restocking fee for sending me a part that I spent $59.95 for that WON'T FIT MY VEHICLE! [:@]Idiots. The wife says..."should have listened to the forum guys"

If you are even contemplating purchasing this...STOP...RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE. Then, RUN FORREST RUN!!!

(this is the wife) Nothing different that I noticed today with the turbonator in the Durango. Other than it took 1/8th of a tank to go to work and back...driving lighter on the throttle than normal...and I usually got two trips to work and back on 1/8th of a tank. I am running below 1/2 tank right now, and we all know that last 1/2 tank goes fast. So I'm thinking I'll fill her up tomorrow morning, set the trip, and see what I get for the next week. I'll keep you updated...and also let you know how I make out after calling the company. Of course, they're only open from noon to 5 Monday through Friday [:@]

sorry to hear of your troubles. Something should be done to these companies that are selling substandard products and poor customer service. I know how you feel I'm still fighting with Pheniox reman trans parts over a valve body that they are trying to rip me off on. I guess the best thing to do is tell everyone you can about the experiance that you've had and warn as many people as possible. Thats what makes this forum great.

Not to be rude, but if people would quit buying their $h!t products, then they would just vanish with no questions asked. I have been amazed how many people I have met that have no understanding a automobiles, but the spend thousands on parts like the turbonator. I guess what I am trying to say is...it is too bad that you are having issues with this product. And to everybody else, research before you buy.

(wife again) helmsa...you have a right to your opinion. The way things are advertised has alot to do with why we in particular buy certain things. We are impulse buyers, which doesn't leave alot of time for research (which I usually do alot of). And to be quite honest, i'm too sick to come back with any good comments at this point. So i'll leave this post as it is now.

helmsa, I agree with you on not buying the poor products, but how would you know they are junk if someone didn't try them first? As far as not having an understanding of an automobile. I've been an ase master tech for the last 11 years I am Chrysler star certified and gm parts and operations certified how about you? Not to be rude.
