This 50/52mm debate has me thinking... if your only opening the throttle part way during acceleration, wouldnt the 52mm flow the same at a lesser throttle position and still give the same amount of torque?

really what i'm trying to get at is I think the 50mm vs 52mm is only obvious at WOT... the motor will only flow a maximum amount of air at whatever it's current bottleneck is... at WOT, if you have a small filter then your limited by what that filter will flow, same for the exhaust, small exhaust would have the same affect. open them up and then you move the bottle neck somewhere else (heads, intake TB etc)

what do you guys think?

BTW, the fastman was one of my best mods...!
AND - to add to this - you are restricted on all of the above by the cam lift profile, compression ratio, piston configuration, valve size, etc. The key to getting higher performance is to make every component work perfectly with each other to maximize flow through the engine at high rpms. Since most of us are limited by what the Dodge engineers put IN our engines, you have to keep that in mind. It's like putting a 1000cfm Dominator carb on a stock 360. It will run - but not efficiently........

Off_Road_Teacher-
you said you did a 0-60 test- you said stated the difference between the ebay tb and the fastman, but did you record the difference between the fastman and stock? if so please post it.

I wish that I had tested them against stock in hindsight. But I never did, and I sold my stock tb, so I can't even do it now. If I do ever come across a stock tb for a 5.2, I will be sure to compare the three. Without any numbers, I will say that the aftermarket tb's made a big difference off the line over stock.

I think the 50mm works better on the 5.2 engine because all though a 52mm will flow more volume it will flow with less velocity therefore killing some bottom end. Larger hole=less velocity more volume= better Top end power for high rpm

Call Dan and explain this to him and he'll probably be able to work something out. I would think maybe he could charge you the price one day and the core the next day or something. Just talk to him - he's cool and very knowledgeable.
