Yes its the correct waterpump. Also the thermo is opening I can feel the top hose get hot. Below is something I forgot about......
I did forget one thing to tell when I changed the waterpump. I also changed the lower hose since it looked shabby. One difference in it and the original was it did not have a spring inside it like the one that was on it. Is this normal? Could the hose be collapsing when I am driving causing this overheating problem?

oh yea.... theres a vacume present when the motor is running.. the higher the rpm the greater the vacume... thats how the rad cap actuates and allows the resevior to add coolant... thats why if your low on coolant and just fill the resevior tank it fills that way... after you open the rad cap that vacume takes a bit to start back up... like a few start ups... anyway that vacume can be strong enough to collapse non-structure hoses... especially the lower hose where its sucking the coolant in as apposed to the upper hose thats pushing it out...
that would seriously explain why it does it when you drive... you can do the same thing parked..just run the motor higher then idle..around the same rpm youd be lookin at when your drivin under the conditions that cause the overheating... ie: if it overheats when your doing 70 at 2300 rpm then mimick that while parked.. run the motor at 2300 rpm for a bit and have someone check that hose... just use caution and moniter the gauge closely!

Well guys I am still at a loss. I searched everywere today for a hose with the spring and none are available around here. I would take the old spring out but its in real bad shape. I am not sure this is whats happening anyways. I did today try to burp the system and got no results. I have a 180 thermo, new pump, and still when driving with the air on I get to 210-240 degrees.

Did you try the flush kit.
Heck, try flushing the engine first.
Afterwards, cap it all off and run it on just water.
Try to figure out the problem first before using antifreeze/coolant.
Not sure where you live, but don't leave it in there if gets below freezing.
I can't think of anything else.
The lower hose sounds like the culprit-Its the one thing that was changed that hadn't been checked-get a mopar hose and let us know.
