Well the results are in!! To all those who put your money on the fuel pump better fork it over to me because you were wrong. It was the cat. I gutted her out and now not only is the exhaust deeper and throatier but it has restored ALOT of power. I mst have been running clogged for awhile. But it never damaged anything. we checked her all out and everything was a.ok! thanks to everyone that helped with my problem and hopefully this thread will pass to someone with the same problem. Oh yes...NO MORE RATTLING!! [8D]

glad we could help if you want a chance at a free cat (if you half to go for smog tests and such) call up your dealership with your vin and see if your in the extended warrenty...i dont know how much thell help because you gutted it thow

Man, here in Nashville we can't gut the cats and expect to pass Emissions... =(

Congrats on finding the problem! My money was on the cat too, cousin of mine had a clogged cat on his camaro, we took it off and used a trusty 5 iron (the handle of it) to gut it out, shake all the **** out, and for ****s and giggles striaght piped it... Funny thing was, we left some stuff in the cat and ended up shooting little chunks of **** out the tail pipe for miles =D (everytime he would shift into another gear and hammer it, we heard "DING" and looked back to see pieces flying, hehe)

Well guys, im not having any problems or maybe its one stirring up. I can now hear this hollow like noise from the engine. You can hear it good at about 2500rpm. Sounds like a hollow dull moan or something. anyone have any ideas? u can only hear when u gun it or even when yu step on the gas.

The speed limit on the highways in NY are 65. I CANNOT stand it when some bone head gets in the left lane and does 65 or 70. It drives me nuts!!! I don't know how many times I got the bird for riding bumpers!!! LOL..

oh yea....i hear ya...i drive the 90's out here in rochetser/buffalo everyday and i cant stand when someone in the left lane is driving 40 .. driving fast and passing on the right ...

i burn up the left lane usually at 75'ish... someitmes faster if im feeling froggy

i get that sound too ... i have a magnaflow highflow cat on mine and i get that wierd noise at certain RPMs.. with it being hollow now its usually just resonating ... kinda common when you hollow out a cat or when you put on a highflow like i did... have you noticed that the engine seams to "run" louder too? like more ambient noise coming from the engine? anyway i did when i put the highflow on..in your case itll prolly be more b/c your cat was never desighned to run like it is now...

just keep an eye on it and check for leaks in the exhaust system...
