i was just wondering what you guys think your horsepower is now after doing some simple mods.. and whats the most you think we can get out of these engine just doing simple mods. i have a 318 with 230 stock.. hypertech programmer on 93 octane and k&n replacement filter and soon a low temp thermostat.. im thinking 250-260. how about ya'll?

 

my dream is to have 360 hp out of my 360 CI engine...as soon as i hit that goal or damn near close to it ,, ill be done with the ram and ill move onto a new project. not sure what yet b/c its gonna be hard as hell to get 360 out of my motor without pulling it and working it over ... im really gonna try to get to a dyno this summer... kinda hard to find one where im at with out driving 4 hours.. at some car shows during hte summer thers a dyno thats on a trailer that roams around the US to various car shows... id like to hit that one if it comes close to me

i cant remember what the stock hp is on a 5.9L but id like to assume im around the 320 330 range...i doubt it though... atleast that i what i tell all my friends that drive fords... retards

 

i think 360s come with 250-260 stock.. but even just some minor things (cai, hypertech, low temp stat) will put you in the 300's... i'd be happy to get my 318 in the 300's

 

5.2, 220hp up to 97, 98 & later 230hp
5.9 230hp up to 97, 98 & later 245hp (except Indy/97 SST 245, 98SST-250)

I would think 300hp is about the max with bolt ons for a 5.2

 

What all bolt ons do you think it would take to get to 300 with a 5.2? Do you know the stock torque numbers for a 5.2? Finally what would you estimate torque at if a person had all the bolt ons you are talking about?

 

im thinking... : cai, 50mm fastman tb, low temp stat, hypertech programmer, msd wires & ignition, autolite plugs, high flow cat and exhaust, aftermarket headers

 

This summer I'm doing CAI and a Hypertech. I also have a Magnaflow exhaust. If I got 250hp I'd be impressed, but right now it doesn;t seem like I'm even at the 220 mark. I want a Dyno!!!!!!

I guess the combination of being a QC 4x4 doesn't help. Not to mention all the weight from the crap in my toolbox plus my huge and heavy sub box with 2 12" subs in it [&:]

 

250ish after exhaust system...20dodgeram01....300 out of my 5.9?? HOW HOW HOW !!!!! hahaaha

 

i know its possible to get 300 out of a 5.2 with just doing addons.. same with the 5.9's

 

thats my biggest goal is to hit a dyno and see damn near close to 360 on the screen... i think its possible ..

i kow when i go to my RR's hyd lifters and maybe new heads im sure ill be up there... prolly in the upper RPM range but atleast i can say thats whats i gots!

best guestimate i think i could be around 320 330 right now... with MSD ingntion headers flowmasters highflow cat 2.25 duals K&N CAI elec fan conversion 180 tstat...and a hypertech PIII think all that could add up to 85 RWHP?
