Up here, both my V-10 as well as my Dads V-10 have been decated. One truck is from Alberta and the other is an ex CORPRO truck outta Saskatchewan. Both trucks had the dual cat setup, but all has been removed, except the air pump.

I clamp the cat in a vise and use a drill with a long wood bit to break it up and then shake it out.

 

Ok, any vehicle that came equiped with a cat, needs to have it left inplace. It is a FEDERAL offense to remove one. This is simply a topic that needs not be explained on here.

Well, sinc eI have PERSONALLY seen a guy get popped, for gutting his cat, the shop turned him in when he was being a dick, its a $50, 000 fine, am sure it got reduced, but I also know he has a federal rap sheet now, all cause he was an idiot...

md- gimme a break. Google gutting cat and see what you come up with. It's all over this site and many many others.

 

In Alberta there is no Laws against running with out a cat. All the vehicles I have owned (high milage) have been plugged so they got cut out and a piece of pipe in its place.

 

In NC, althought they do not do emmisions test on older vehicles, if the vehicle came with a cat, it MUST be there to pass. But why would you want to gut it, I just had mine replaces for $200 in 30 minutes. It's cheap. If you are using the vehicle for offroad stuff, then take it off and put a pipe in it's place. If it is for road use, replace it, it's cheap and the law.

 

regardless if its illegal or not, its really up to the mods to lock delete or move topics , mods have a certain amount of responsability of what goes on here.especially the administrators,,they have the upmost responsibilty.. so i think we should leave it up to them to do whatever to this thread. they THEY dont feel its apporopriate for the forum then theyll do something about it... other then that keep on talkin about what you want to... reprocusions will follow acordingly..
