hi there i am looking at some dodge rams 4x4 between 1994-1999 and was wondering which engine would be better

better for what? Power-5.9 milage-5.2 bolth are durable and easy to mod. With the lager engine you normally get the heavier trans.

don't remember the numbers for a 5.2 but the 5.9 is 245hp and 335 ft lbs tourqe. I think the hp on the 5.2 was around 220ish.

i would say the 5.9.....

also if your plannin on moddin it dont look at 94-99 look at 96+ so that you have OBDII.... (hypertech).... i got the OBDI and regret it.

glad to hear your getting out of a D(driver) R(returns) O(on) F(foot) hehe just kidding. Which ever truck choose, if its an auto make sure to check the trans closely. Try to see if there are any maintanance records availible. Might save you $$$$$$ down the road.
