Default DT profab t-bar answer

hey guys..FINALLY got a hold of the guys at DT

i scored a hella deal on ebay for a DT profab bar for my ram.. normally brand new they are 360 + shipping. what i didnt realize as that the adjustable track bar has 2 different brakets .. one bracket for a 0 to 4 1/2 inch lift and then one for 4 1/2 to 6 inch lift... well my luck i got a really good deal on a t-bar bracket for a truck that had 6 inches of lift on it lol damnit!

well i got a hold of DT and they are gonna send me a new braket and set of mounting hardware for 150.

so total cost for a new DT tbar? 150 for the new braket (0 to 4" lift braket) and 50 for the WHOLE setup off ebay .

200...still a steal if you ask me!!!! the bar and hiems are sitting right next to me and are still shiney... not rust on the braket..looks like it was on the orignal truck for only a few months

why am i tellin ya this? incase you guys come across a DT profab bar at a good price.. letting ya know theres 2 different models of the brackets to look out for... the 2 part numbers that DT uses are 02000 and 02001 0 to 4 and 4 to 6 respectivly

what lift are you running?

The bracket isnt really that important. What is important is that your drag link and trac bar are as parralell as can be.
I have 6" suspension and Im still running the 0-3 bracket. You might have been fine if you were running 3-4 inches.

im only running 2" .. but then again im not sure b/c i have the offroad package and i know the rear is lifted 3 i think (2" block and 1" AAL) and im not sure what the front coils are saposed to be rated at but i think mine are sagging as bad as a 90 yr old biker chicks ta ta's .. the front really loooks low... so im gonna throw on the 2" daystars and see if it really levels out..if not then ill have to figure out how to combat the coils being squishy...

well either way im leveling 2" on an offroad ram.

the offroads are 2-3" lift from the factory. Your coils may be sagging a bit. If you install the daystars than you'll be at 4-5" of lift. I would mount the bar at the frame end and hold the 2 brackets up and see which one puts the trac bar and draglink more paralell. If they are the same then I would send the 0-4" bracket back.

roger that... thanks GOD! ill do that... so your saying that the 2 brackets will put a different angle on the actual bar? doesnt keep it paraleL? im confused how this happens... i didnt think the draglink and the new t-bar would come that close ... gotta be paralel for the chance of hitting eachother or would has to do with the alighnment and centering of the axle?

they wont make contact. The difference in the 2 brackets are that the 4-7 bracket will be lower. it only changes the vertical angle by lowering the frame end of the bar.
