Default CB Installed

I finally got a CB installed on my truck, Wal-mart was getting rid of the 18WSXT II by Cobra for $49 so I couldn't resist. Went ahead and mounted it to the roof in the center of the cab, it actually was much easier then I had thought it would be. I think it turned out fairly nice. Since I still want to put a tool box in my bed sometime I decided going with a bumper mount for the antenna, which is a SW 2000. Now what kind of worthless post would this be if I didn't give you a couple of pictures to go along with it, so here ya go.

P.S. - sorry bout the quality of the pics.

man it would be easy to have that antenna screwd up in a slight fender bender.

but looks good.

When I get a tool box I'll consider mounting to it, but in the interest of keeping good SWR I really don't want to cut the whip even shorter to fit it in the garage. As far as it getting damaged easy in a fender bender, worse case scenario I'll be out $60 for a new antenna. Which is miniscule to what the bumper replacement would probably cost. But then again I haven't ever had a fender bender so it's not a big worry.

I would deffinately add the infamous tennis ball to the antenna to protect the truck paint. Or just wrap it around the big whatever that is on the antenna.

I'd definitely get something around that stick.
WalMart has a "tennis" ball package with different colors, red, green, yellow, and blue.
That should pretty much cover most of the Ram colors!!!
Check in the pet dept.
I know the dogs love 'em.
