Upon further inspection of that site, what in the world were you guys talking about!?! That 408cid rotating assembly is perfect!

What kind of mods are available for the a/t?

The new Hemi motor is not really a true Hemi at all. The Magnum CAN produce more hp than the original Hemi motor in naturally aspirated applications. When you put a blower on a true Hemi (426,340) a magnum doesn't stand a chance. As JJ said, the old 426 that was engineered primarily for stock car racing, had a better in/out ratio, but the loss was in compression. Put some sort of forced induction on the top end.. the street was yours, but naturally aspirated the wedge heads fair better. I don't know that much about the new Hemi's ( I will when I buy a Challenger....(please hurry the f*** up) but from what I have read the heads aren't domed anymore. They are more of a combination of a wedge head and a domed head with straight lines that run fore and across that yield a larger combustion chamber with more valve clearance, but still maintain some resistance to flow that creates more compression.

Why not just buy a Hemi? Or an older diesel?

I would say:
1) why noy buy a hemi- because they only put them in trucks that look like ***- twice baked.(IMVHO of course)
2) or an older diesel? good point.
