Default new truck update...

hey guys... found a steal of a deal yesterday... check out these rims & tires on the new truck. $1000 bux plus my wheels & tires. they are 3 weeks old and the PO had a receipt to prove it. These are one of the rims that were on my list but were too expensive new. The goal was to get rims/tires for under $1500 bux.

I like the way it looks now, however the tires are sticking out from the wheel wells so I have to get the flares put on. those I could live w/o.

Last week I ordered a tonneau cover for it, it's an A.R.E. LoPro cover... should be here in 3 weeks...

once that's done, no more mods for a while. should look sweet...

My tires hang out too. It looks good but does throw a lot of stuff on the truck. Thought about fender covers, then just figured if I turn the wheels it'll hit the truck anyway.

Scored a deal on my tonneau cover like you did on your wheels. I already had a cab high shell, and son & law knew someone that had a hard tonneau he wanted to get rid of for around $500-$600. Month or so later he would take $150 to get it out of his way. Already the right color. I was going to resell it until I rode around with it for a week or so. Looks good, and for $150 what the heck.

hell yeah! $150 bux and you cant go wrong... that's what I was looking for in a tonneau cover. I found one that had some chips in it that otherwise didnt look too bad but the guy wouldnt budge off of the $700 bux he was asking for it. So I did more research and found a new one I like better so I ordered it. Cant wait to get it!

Yeah, timing is everything. I've had my eye on 2 local craigslist.org classifieds and this one was on there a couple of hours before I saw it. I've seen the 20" sets your looking for local several times. Check your local craigslist.org site and keep an eye out for them.

The alignment gets done Wednesday, then all we're waiting on is the A.R.E. lowpr tonneau cover to get here... then I'm done for now
