Cold Air Intake?
What kinds of cold air intakes can you get for a 2nd gen ram, who has the best and how much to they cost? I have been looking around for some and I just wanted to see what other people have, where they got them, and how much they cost.
I know someone on here has got a cold air intake on their 2nd gen ram. All I really need to know is who is the best to buy such as K&N or someone else. And how much they are going to run.
Well for one thing, on this forum members are too active until like, you know, after we get out of Work =) so giving it only 30 minutes isnt the best idea =P
As far as intakes go, the best all around would be the K & N FIPK (Fuel Injection Performance Kit). Most of the people in this section and other dodge ram truck owners use K&N.
Also theres a search button in the forum, and this question has been asked numerous times. =)

best advice... STAY AWAY FROM AIRAID METAL INTAKES!!! they rust on the inside some how and then guess where that rust goes into..... THE BLOCK.. yeah not good.
i do believe they have changed their design to a plastic tube now.
yeah k&n fipk is the way to go, or a ramair box. rm_indy had one he probably knows where to get one, or just search the net. i'm sure they are not too hard to find.

happy with the s&b cai. easy install, well built, huge filter, and a clear top to check for clean/dirty filter without disassembly. can be had for under 200 on ebay.

I have a K&N but they are all good. I can't remember who, but they made their own. It's just a matter of getting your filter into the cooler air away from the engine the further away the better. By the way it looks Rm_Indy's goes all the way down past the frame, but it's not a daily driver he drags it. This is his.
