tires again
ok i did a search and read all your threads on tires couldnt get the answer i wanted i work at a tire shop and they say the biggest you tire you can fit on my stock rim is a 265/75/16 which is what i have i just bought a 5 inch lift so i not worried about them rubbing on the fenders i really want 315/75/16s and i want them to fit on the factory rims i would they fit. also i will probalyl need a spacer right to keep them from rubbing on the coil or anything like that would a 1 inch wheel spacer and a 5 inch lift fit 315/75/16 tires on the stock rims thats all i want to know thanks for the help
the stock wheel is only 7" wide also, keep that in mind. don't get too wide of a tire or it won't fit right. but, some people have said they've ran 315's without a problem of stock wheels
Don't put a spacer in there! Please please don't for the safety of others on the road! Spacers = bad news! Especially when you go with larger tires. Either wait and get a set of rims with the correct offset for the tires you want.....live with the rubbing....or get something that will fit correctly.
I also see on your car domain that you have a "Jet Stage 2 Chip" on your mod list. I suggest you remove that and put a programmer on the list instead (either superchips or hypertech). You will actually see gains from a programmer, while the "chip" will do nothing for you.

they dont sell one for a 1996 or i would of got one and i not getting rims so do you think a 315/75/16 will rub the coils or anything my teacher at school says he has 305s anda 5/16 spacer and he rubs alittle
the 315's will rub.
265's are as big as you can put on the stock wheels without rubbing.
NO SPACERS. you'll kill you truck doing that. well the truck won't die but you probably will and so will someone else when you crash into them it puts more torque on the axle than they are designed for. get some new wheels to fit the 315's and get the correct back spacing.
it's worth it.

i have 285's on my truck when it was stock.. no rubbing at all.. now i have a 3 inch lift so they say i can fit 315's.. with a 5 inch you can clear 315's easy.. and i have a friend running 315's on a 97 ram 1500 with a 3 inch body lift.. it just rubs on the wheel wells not the tracbars or anything.. so im pretty sure you can run 315's on stock wheels with a 5 inch lift with no problems
