RE: RM_Indy Check the flames out!!
Thats fkd up! I knew Chris was pushing the envelope with the new 572ci hemi in there. Looks like he didnt have the 1471 in it for that pass either. I have been wondering about him. Last pic I saw of his truck you could clearly see the body lines were off because the frame was bending behind the cab when it came out of the hole. My little 408 wont be as radical. I figure worst/best case senario I should see between 510rwhp to 645rwhp give or take. It all depends on how much boost its making at the shifts. Going to my buddy's shop to order some more parts so Ill have a look at shileds while Im at it. Thanks for the heads up

I'll definately put one on the Chevelle when the 420 blower goes on it.
As far as dodge power goes, I would like your oppinion on some things I'm contemplating. Have been debating on either to go with a engine or boost upgrade. Noticed that KRC has a lightning killer package for $4000. A blower setup is around the same. Hughs has a stroker kit thats a little less but by the time I tear it all down it will be close. I have noticed that you, the guys you run with and MOPARWAR have done significant upgrades, boost strokers, etc.
To have a truck that can be driven with decent maners and not need racing fuel, which would you recomend for power verses dollar, and be reliable to drive.

Your talking a daily driver? How many miles on the 97? Too many miles and I would say the stroker, better double the budget and be ready to have it down for some time though. I got my bottom end all balanced and headwork done before yanking my motor but its still going to be 4-6wks till its reassembled and ready for me to install.
If your trucks got low mileage and good compression then find yourself a low mileage used Vortech or Paxton. 24lb injectors, fmu inline pump and msd boost retard. A Vortech/Paxton you could install in a full day or over a weekend. Instant gratification and progressive power which is very streetable and not as hard on the driveline.
