dodge ram from canda vrs dodge ram from usa
I will be importing a ram from germany to the usa. I bought it from a guy from canada
Its a 2000 and looks exactly like a american one.
The stupid shipping company wants me to get a letter saying it meets us specs.
Anyone know if there is any differences between the us one and the one from canada
I see a sticker under the hood saying it meets US and Canada safety and epa specs.

The RAM from "Canada" (note the spelling :P ) will have daytime running lights, that is one thing for sure... and not a bad thing.
There isnt much difference bud.
You will have to get it checked out... we have to do the same when we bring a vehicle in from the USA.
You will have to change the KMH to MPH etc.

Howdy guys
Been so busy with work I havent had time to do squat
Been in YUMA AZ for a work trip.
Getting my house ready to get packed up and shipped to the USA.
I am still waiting on dodge to answer my question about this matter.
From what I gather in the last few hours of searching is canada is more **** than the usa on emissions so Ill be fine there.
My speed-o-meter is in both KM and MPH so I thing im good there too.
Looks like this is just paper work thing I need to do.
Anyhow it costs about 2k for me to ship it over. The military will only pay for my car to ship not my wifes. Im going to have to pay out of the pocket for one or sell it.
I haven't done any mods to the truck other than bolt some lights under the frame in a secure spot. I hooked them up to the fuse box and a solenoid. When I open my door the whole underside lights up white. I got the idea from the new mirrors that they have on new trucks. It has a small light under it pointing down at your feet so at night you can see what you might be stepping into. My mod came out really cool. Ill have to take my camera out and snap some night pictures. After a few nights of using this small addition I will install lights under the frame for all my trucks. Makes it so easy to find your keys when you drop them at night. Ill make a new post for fun and toss in my pictures

I talked about your truck last week. I just got back from a vacation in SC. On the way down we were following a semi doing about 90. He had some of those train horns on his rig. Whenever he came up on some car squatting in the hammer lane, he would let those horns rip. It was funny as ****e seeing the drivers swirve to get out of the way, pop up in their seat, and look around like, WTF. Anyway, I got on the CB and told him about this Dodge Ram I had seen on the internet with train horns. He laughed and said that "dem howns save me alot a time".

Cool man hehe
I never bought the 500.00 air compressor to fire the horns. I mounted them under the truck and bolted in the air tank and thats as far as that project got. The compressor is heavy and they wanted to ship it by UPS. UPS doesnt serve the base I am at in Germany so I never made the order. It very sad though to have all that honking power and not use it. Only thing is that they are high quality from the top of a train so they arent wearing out while they sit. I figure that is my first project this summer after I get back from germany. I have a real problem with people pulling up next to me with there subs kicking so loud I cant hear my own music. You know the guy who has it so loud the license plate is bouncing in the license plate holder! Hes a prime target for a good honking.... lol
And heres the air horns being set off....
