Trucks in the shop finially
Well finially got my truck in the shop. The CEL was on for the TCC/Overdrive Performance. Was pushing it off till I knew there would be no more snow so I could drive my Mustang. Weather was nice and car was running good so I called the dealer. Lady called and told me teh CEL was on for 2 reasons the TCC and some emisions thing. I guess theres lines running to teh canister that were cracked and leaking and they wouldn't know what was wrong with the trans till they droped it and took it apart. I told her go ahead I need it fixed. Well the next day they droped it and on the way to work my stang started knocking bad AGAIN. So I'm forced to drive my other stang its a 66. Anyway called because they never called me onb what they found out. Turns ou the torque converter and the pump in the front of the trans is shot. The total for doing everything is gonna be 2012.21
. Unless the extened warrenty I bought pays for the cracked lines unless its over the 100,000 mark but the TC they don't cover. Figures the expensive stuff they want nothing to do with[:@]

I never understand why people take there cars to the stealership
You could buy a brand new APS Trans for that much that is bullet-proof.
People always think that because a machanic works at the dealership they know EVERYTHING and they're the only one that can fix it right and everybody else and all the other shops don't know what their doing blah blah blah. Its a shame
I would truck more shops with my can then the dealer. Guess its just something you figure out when you learn to work on cars yourself. Your getting screwed man [sm=badidea.gif]

i do all my my own work pretty much on my car its only been in the shop twice. Once because I fried the EEC ond once for a cracked exhuast pipe that had to be welded. The truck is still kinda new to me so i don't wanna screw it up plus we're going camping in 2 weeks and i don't have the time to do it myself
Well picked it up tonight. They charged me 2619.97, 600 more then they said it would be which pissed me off. But heres the real kicker. I called the dealership Monday and she said "it should be done tonight talked to the warrenty people they need proof that you had the trans fluid changed twice during the time you've had it which I'll tell you now is bull cause its not recommended to change it that often. Have you had it done before?" I said yup the place I bought it did it but only once she said well try and find somebody that will say they did it and get a paper. So I talked to my inspection guy which said he would. Called Dodge today and she said its done did you get them papers I said I got the one have to go get the other one how many miles are on it now so i got that info and got what I needed and called the warrenty. Guy said yes we need that info can you fax it to us I said yeah now my question is my truck is finished can you guys have this taken care of today or will it take a while cause I need my truck back tonight. And the guy goes " what its finished who told them to finished it? We usually need to inspect the truck first how much was the bill?" I said she told me it would be 2012.21 he says "yeah over 2000 we need to inspect the truck first I don't know if we can help you now that its finished we usually don't if the job is already done. You can send them papers but it may not do any good. You need to call the dealer and talk to them". So I call the dealer and told her what happend and she told me that she went over that with them before that i needed my truck back asap. She said to bring the papers to her and she would fight them to reimburse me. she said that or I need to put my foot down and fight to get the money back that I payed for the contract because they arn't paying for repairs. I think I will call her again tomorrow and find out why it was 600 more then it was suppose to be and make sure she got the papers.
Sorry for the long post that just pisses me off that I payed extra for a warrenty and now they don't wanna pay and I had to pay 600 more then I was told it would be. Now I understand that happens sometimes your bill is higher but 600 bucks is not right. I should have been informed of this.

fight them hard. Dont back down. Dealerships make so much money screwing people over like that. Don't let them win on a dodge.

but see thats the thing. I don't blame Dodge I have no problem with them the girl that handled my repair was great, very helpful and nice she had no problems calling the warrenty people and starting the claim for me. Only thing that pisses me off about Dodge is that my bill was more then expected.
Who I'm after is the warrenty people. I paid extra money when I bought my truck for that warrenty and now when I need the help the wanna dick me around. I had seals replaced after I got the truck and they did it no questions asked. But now that the repairs cost more then what I paid for the plan they don't wanna pay up which is BS. Shouldn't matter how much a repair is they should cover it.
