Default New Truck update...

hey guys... looks like it's done from an exterior point of view... just thought i'd share how it looks now vs stock back in March. anything else done to it will be mechanical... the tranny will be next so I can use 100% of the go fast boxes that add 100 hp 250 tq.

Looks good. 100 hp and 250 ft/lbs.... Wow. I think I might have done the tranny first just so I could roast the stock meats slam up before getting the new wheels/tires. That would be fun to take your ride back to the dealership and ask them about the tire warranty.

yeah unfortunately the tranny upgrades are gonna have to come in pieces. all together they would be about $2k for parts and installation. one of which would be a new torque converter. the valve body & new pan shouldt be too bad. I can get the pan for around $300 and have the shop swap it out next service but the valve body will have to wait for now.

i'm anxious to feel the 100 hp setting... so far i've only gone as far as the 60 hp settiing and that flat out screams! No serously... alarms go off for over boost, excessive speed and the motor defueles to keep me in line once the tranny is upgraded, I can bump up the alarm settings and let her fly.

Looks super sweet there Steve. Its hard to believe just 3 months ago you had an old truck...now you got a nice new toy!

The flares dont look nearly as bad as I thought they would, but you definitely need the Sport grill/bumper.

It's really looking good Steve. I like those flares more then I thought I would. I think they look good matched to the body paint.
Keep keeping us posted.

thanks all! I dont like flares myself but these really make it look better than having no flares. Everyone in the family likes them as well, even though they all thought they wouldnt. (maybe they're just being nice... naw, not my family lol)

As for the sport setup... probably not going to happen, I like the balance of chrome vs paint, not too much of either. some of the sports i've seen look too white to me.

now I just need to go find some free time to go get it dirty [sm=icon_rock.gif]

I put in a stall from apsprecision about three weeks ago. It's not really broken in yet but it's getting there. So far so good.
