I have not powered the 6X9's that I have now. I had planned on trying that first, then making changes if I didn't like it, but I've never had a decent stereo in any vehicle yet, and I'm pretty ready for one. I've never heard of CDT... but I like what I read. They sound like a good product, and a fair price to boot. Hey, thanks everyone for all your help! It's greatly appriciated!

I didn't catch the regular cab.... These work well in a regular cab. they don't take up a lot of space and have good bass and highs without the sub base. Use the amp on full range and rock on. I had them with an extra 10' of cable and would sit them on the outside of the truck for outdoor activities. The horn tweeter on the top lets the highs come around the seat and the base is right at your back, so a big woofer is not needed. Real base in full range, not the sub base that numbs everything.

Good luck!!! I will warn you, once you start with the audio its jst like the rest of the vehicle..you NEVER stop changing things.
Also, dont forget you will need to make or buy an adaptor for the 6 1/2's or any smaller speaker if you end up getting some. Have fun man!!!

Thanks for the advice guys. Chopper, I already got one of the boxes from hotboxes that takes the place of the middle seat. It's downfiring, and has the perfect air space (.75 cubic feet) for a single 10, and it's completly stealth. I've already looked into the adapters too habeba. I found one that fits the 6 1/2's and the tweeter in the 6X9 space, which is good for me since I'm not planning on putting holes in my door panels. I'm planning on running the 6X9's to see how they sound, but I'm pretty sold on the components. They seem like such a better set up, and probably just doing like DPR250R did, and put the CDT 5 1/4's for some rear fill... and my deck has a low pass filter in it, so I shouldn't be too concerned with jacking them up without bass blockers.

I think downfiring is the only way to go in a truck.....unless its a wall of 15's!!! Sounds good..make sure you use that high pass filter on those speakers

Where can the hotboxes speaker box be found to replace the middle seat? GP
