Wide open throttle is definitly improved... epescially after the new exhaust.... it definitly improves the powerband..... fuel economy, ehh,maybe.... the sound is MUCH better.... worth the investment, definitly...

Hows it working for you...?

Any improvements to your day to day driving?
better throttle response?
better MPG?

or worse?

After having my truck, then a few more vehicles since, I am more a fan of directfit filters for day to day use. Low end goes away with the conical filters. The air hat on top of the throttlebody is there for a reason I foudn out, to boost lowend. YES, wide open throttle, the conical is better, otherwise, do a direct fit, keep the factory airbox unless yer a diesel.

I'll have to disagree here.
I noticed a definite improvement in part throttle acceleration with the K&N FIPK vs the stock setup with a clean K&N drop in filter. No perceivable loss of low end by me.

Most stock air cleaner systems are designed to be quiet as the primary concern. Performancefar down the list.

I saw little to no gain in performance and MPG with the cold air intake. I switched it for one of the round 14x3 air cleaners about a year ago in December and also saw little to no gain in performance and MPG.
