Like TBNorge stated, you need to clean the calipers and drums as best you can. Get all the rust/grease/brake dust off them. Use Brakleen to clean em off. Scruff them with a wirebrush or a very hard plastic brush.

You should use Plastikote Caliper paint or Duplicolor Caliper paint. These are capable of withstanding up to 900 degrees of heat. Using rust proof paint doesnt really work as its not designed for that kind of application. There are "some" I'm sure that are intended for outdoor use, but not really on a vehicle.

I did mine in red originally...and was going to redo them when I put the new wheels on....but got lazy.

You can purchase the Duplicolor/Plastikote paints at Autozone, Pepboys, Advanced Auto Parts etc etc....they also make paints for body parts like engine blocks and so forth....specifically designed for cars/trucks. $10-$30

eh looks good dude nice that it almost disappears behind the rims (same color...) goes good with that white truck when it's not muddy.

they have specially made brake caliper paint.. though i don't know how pricey it is..

there is this paint that actually seals in the rust but i don't think it would hold up to the heat.

ANYWAY... looks good.

ty, like i said its prly not gonna last but it should for a while, i like that the rim hids it a lil bit cause it makes it look better, idk why it just does, but at high speeds like highway you can see thru the spokes and they should stand out

<-~EDIT~-> i forgot to add, i wirebrushed the **** outta em

acmetruckparts.com sells new rear brake drums for those of us who are to lazy to paint them. I just found them. I think they look good.
