Well i decided to paint these bad boys made em look 100% better and i suggest to anyone who has and evening open and bored to do it, its boringly fun to do and it really stands out in a good way!!

What kind of paint did you use?....The last time I did this....The calipers and drums rusted through the paint in a couple of weeks

 

wow, someone actually replied.. Umm did u use a special rust paint? Thats what i did, i put 2 coats of Rust proof paint, sure it will prly rust someday but ill get over it and paint it again, leave me alone it was fun and i think it looks good [:@]

 

what you need to do is get them powder coated... then you wont have a rust issue...

 

yea they do look pretty good man. I have been thinking about doing this, Just havent decided what color, I am thinking about getting some silver aftermarket discs and painting the calipers red. They do look great painted I think

First get all of the rust off the exterior of the drums. A little rust will retain moisture which will cause more rust. Then paint with a quality rust proof paint.

 

looks great. i was going to get mine powdercoated red but with the new wheels you cant see it at all so i said screw it.

 

I tried painting my calipers with rust-proof paint, but the brakes got too hot and baked it off... but when I painted them with ceramic engine paint, it lasted a long time... or powdercoating is good too

 

hehe, i probably will drive about 10 miles total at all the rest of this week
im wating on my speaker equip so i can install it while it is clean
