I've just acquired a white Dodge Ram 1500. I'm going to black in all accessories (brush guards, nerf bars, etc.). I can't find the diamond-plated rocker panels or bed/tail gate caps with black finishes though.

I've considered getting the diamond plate and either spray painting or covering it with rubber coating used on truck beds.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

well, it depends...you should be able to use bed lining material...not sure how that would look though...

however, if you just wanted a black look...you can have anything powercoated.

 

i've seen black diamond plate toolboxes, but they were around $400. looked really sharp, though!

Yes, you can get black diamond plated items. They are a bit more expensive, little harder to find, but they do make them. I've seen a couple dozen trucks with the black diamond plated tool boxes, and a few with the black diamond plate trim around the bed.

Looks really nice on a white truck.

the front grille, is impossible to find black though, im thinking buying a chrome one and stripping it then painting it black.


i checked out pricing up here for a black paintjob, keeping my stripes. and it would be about 4500-5k... thats also leaving the rockers alone.
