Default Cruise Control INOP

My cruise control stopped working. Everything "looks" like it's on and engaged when it comes to the lights etc on the wheel...it just doesn't work. I know there's probably a hundred things that could cause this, so right now I'm just looking for the most obvious places to start trouble shooting. So far all I can say is thokat I don't see anything broken or disconnected and it doesn't seem to be electrical as stated.

Vacuum leak would be my first thought. Typical vacuum leaks occur in the lines for the 4wd system (between the transfer case and front axle). Another typical break is in the lines to the charcoal canister.

The vacuum reservoir line is another good one to check.
