Default Headers

I put some headers on yesterday and I think I may have an exhaust leak. Can anyone tell me any tall tale signs, how to detect them, and how to repair them.

You'll usually be able to hear it if it's leaking at the head. You will also see exhaust/carbon start to build up where the leak is.

You mean the ticking? The ticking is the valvetrain noise. When there is a leak, it's a LOT easier to hear it. You can also hear ticking if you buy cheap headers with thinwall tubing. [:'(]

What brand??? Try re-snugging the bolts. Once the gasket gets heated up they need to be tightened again...

I bought the hedman headers. Ill try tightening the bolts, but I think its coming from where the header bolts to the exhaust pipe
