broke header bolt
well thanks guys, got it off by rethreading it, then threading two nuts on it then welding them together and to the end of the bolt, then urning them off, worked great, Thanks guys for all the help, took all your advice and mushed it into one big plan, Thanks alot

yeah congrats on getting it off.
heating only works if you let it cool off again. you heat the metal and it will expand in effort to break the rust or whatever is holding it there. when it cools the rust is broken and should come out easier.
also the heating process realigns the metal molecules but i don't think you'd heat it up high enough and long enough for that to happen. steel takes something like 600 degrees celcious (never can spell that word for the life of me) for like an hour for that to happen. (gotta love paying for materials classes)
