Default front brakes locking up

[ i lost my front brakes on my 2001 dodge ram. so i changed out the vacumn booster no good .then changed out master cyl. that got the front brakes back, test drove it .everything looked good, next morning i started out to go to town, truck stared lugging down , stopped and checked my front brakes, they were about to catch fire. i got it home, bought new roters, new brake shoes. and calipers, put them all on and test drove it .. brakes still locking up,does anybody got any ideas what is causing this,

ur best bet is the brake lines, they could have collapsed, not allowing the pressure to be relieved but still applying it, the flexible brake lines

Did you put anything on your caliper pins/slides when you installed your new calipers?

Here's something to work from ... drum brakes have a check valve (it's in the master cylinder) that keeps the pressure from draining all the way down. Disks have no such valve. I know this because (way) back in the day I tried swapping out a master cylinder from my `66 Impala SS (Drum/Drum) to fix my buddy's newer Mercury ... um ... Something (Disk/Drum) and we experienced the exact same problem. After a couple of brake applications, the front brakes would not release.

Could you have swapped the lines?

Did the parts store give you the right master cylinder?

I use silver anti-seize on my slide when i do mine, they have a tendancy to corrode inside not allowing proper slide, just what ROM said.

You said you replaced the booster? Did you set the pushrod adjustment when you installed it?
