Well that is good to know. I saw that Earl Sh. had a 6 year warrenty but the closest one is a hour away (better than your drive). I think once my hood starts to peal (chip) I might take it there. For now I will give it a try myself and see what happens.

Your truck looks good... for such a small pic.

My 97 was doing it too. But luckily a lady pulled out in front of me leaving Wal Mart....new paint job on whole truck 1200 with my parts costing another 240, installing myself. But a local guy that paints hot rods painted mine for 1200, plus dent fixing! It is black acrylic, no more clear bs.

I wish I had those types of connections. If I only knew someone who could do it. I would pay that if not a little more no problem then I wouldn't have to worry about it again and it would look niiiiiice.

Well I have some "better" news.

I went down to my local Dodge dealer and expalined to them that even though it is out of warranty and 7 years old, I am the original owner and I do not beleive that any paint should do this at such a young age. I spoke with the Service Manager (John) and he told me that there was nothing that he could do, but he spoke with his Crystler rep and they are giving me $300.00 towards a paint job. ALRIGHTTTTTT.

Well it isn't going to cover the full paint job, but it is $300.00 more then I had before.

So my question to you is since you mentioned Earl Sheib is where you had your truck painted, is it possible to take some more detailed pictures of your truck. I like the 6 Year warranty but as I was looking on their site it mentioned "Integrated clear coat" and was wonder is that is something that will look good. From my experience integrated doesn't look as nice as just a clear coat separate. But then again, what can you expect for $800.00.

I will be getting the "Pro 4" paint job and it DOES mention a "True separate Euro-Clean top coat" which should help.

Any additional pictures would be helpful.

To answer your question (sorry for the delay, was on vaction while my truck got painted). It was for any body shop to do the work. Dodge just needed an invoice and they are giving me $300.00

I took the invoice down to Dodge and they told me that they will cut me a check for the $$$ next week.

Here are some picutres of the final product. In my opinion, it was well worth it. It isn't a PERFECT job, but it is MUCH better than before. The paint job does come with a LIFETIME warrenty against chipping, pealing and fading. I had the entire truck painted AND a spray on bed liner for $600.98. Minus the $300.00 fro Dodge, so my out of pocket was only $300.98.

Since the truck looks naked without any decals I went to eBay and bought the entire Dodge 1999 Sport collection for $30.00.

Here are some pictures of the after. (The before pictures are above)

If anyone has any quesitons, please let me know.

It was actually a package deal from Earl Schib ($499.00 for the paint, $30.00 for the bed, $44.00 for material and tax). I got the paint and the bed liner there. $600 for everything

I was at first a little skeptical because, "Really what can you get for $30.00" but then I figured that it is only $30.00 and if I really don't like it I can get a better one for $400-$500 later. The bed does come with a lifetime warranty against fading, chipping or pealing.... along with paint.
