Try Ceglia transmissions in Union Beach, Monmouth County. They have been in business for a long time and got a good rep. Look em up in the yellow pages or call info..

Hey guy's,

I'm new here, as a matter of fact this is my first post. I created an account because I wanted to relay a recent transmission situation that I just went through.

I've got a 98 diesel Ram and my tranny was slipping in and out of overdrive. I wanted to nip this in the bud ASAP so I took it to a local tranny shop here in Philly. When I went there, one of the guy's asked me what year my truck was and I told him it was a 98. He went into his office and came out with a magazine called "Gears", that is apparantly sent to tranny shops all over. In the July issue there was a story all about Rams tranny's and related problems. It said that the NUMBER 1 problem with tranny slippage was ...... dirty battery terminals !!!

I was stunned ...

I went home, cleaned my terninals on both batteries and coated them with the purple permatex stuff and my tranny's been shifting fine ever since. Not once has it slipped.

I don't know if this will solve all of your tranny problems, but I just wanted to mention it. Hope it helps .
