I'm jealous. My engine compartment is no where near that clean.[sm=boohoo.gif]

next you need to get rid of that little stock cone filter that came with the K&N kit... slap in a 6x9 round one, you will be happy. Shot did on his and loved it...

That's not the original K&N filter. The original filter that comes with the FIPK is part number RC-4680 and is rated at 660 CFM. The filter I have on there is part number RF-1027, which is rated at 828 CFM, more then enough for what i'm running. The reason I chose not to go with the 6x9 round one that you mention (RD-1460, rated at 1186 CFM) is actually because it is not cone shaped. Since it is basically straight cylinder shape, it has a large blunt end that faces directly into the airflow that comes in the opening next to the radiator. My filter is still the cone shape, so there is more exposed filter surface in the airflow path rather then a large blunt plastic top.

Ya, it definetly goes off-road. Mostly mountain trails and stuff like that when I go camping, hunting, and fishing (I do live in Colorado you know). No rock crawling type of stuff though. I haven't gone anywhere this year though because we just had a baby a month and a half ago. So I have had lots of time to clean it up and do these mods that have been sitting around in my garage. I need to take some pictures of it next time we are up in the mountains and it is nice and dirty. I'm always driving, and never think to stop, get out, and take pictures while I am on a trail. Some guys like to take their trucks in the mud and leave it caked for everyone to see. I like to clean it up as soon as I get home. I am just **** about having clean vehicles I guess. My wife always laughs about it, but I know she secretly likes not having to get mud on her clothes when she gets in and out.
