Hey, I have no issues with Airaid on my truck although i did modify it, what was so craptastic about yours at least they were never recalled like K&N crack-tastic crap..........anyhow my first mod was Fastman 52mm TB, only mod i ever did that actually showed any results.

I just bought my Ram recently.

It was a no-brainer. I bought it brand new in the box for
(drum roll) $92.80 shipped! I'm not kidding either.
Anyhow, I have already installed it and it works great.

I left the dealership in my Indy (spring 96) & went to a performance shop for a K&N GenI 14" fipk on the way home. Had to have more performance (that hasnt changed). Since then a bit more than half the mods Ive done have been performance related.

My first mod was to take the ears off the TB, smooth the edges, and port the top section slightly. I studied the pictures of the Fastman TB's and tried to mimic what he does. I know its not as good as his, but it was a free mod for me, so that is why I did it first.
After that, I added a Hypertech PPIII, then 14" round air intake, and some sensor mods.
