Default royal purple oil

ok so i just did my oil after about 5k miles (yes synthetic so don't jump on me for that. good for 15k the bottle said...) and put in the royal purple.

anyone else use the stuff? i hear all the good things that the commercials say and all that but i wanted to know if anyone else around here has used it, and for how long.

kinda like to get other real people's opinions.

Try searching this forum. We've had many discussions about synthetic oil and who likes what brand.

yea, i use that stuff all throughout the drive train. StreetTruck claims a 4 HP gain at the wheels on it. I have been getting about 1 mpg more since i have been using that, but i also always add restore to the engine oil as well. I love the stuff, the engine runs cleaner, smoother, and this will help it last longer.

so i just did a drive around town picking stuff up for work and found that yeah it did seem to make a difference over the old oil i had been using (napa synthetic) could be because it was old oil.. but it felt like a little easier to move in the low rpm's... i don't know yet if it makes a difference or not but hey why not give it a shot.

18 bucks for twelve quarts and a $6 filter... not bad i say.

buck a quart. yay go napa!!!

wait...i'm confused...did you change your oil with a generic Napa synthetic oil or actual Royal Purple racing oil...because Royal Purple is definitely NOT a buck a quart...and if you found it for a buck a quart i'm gonna need the adress and phone number of that shop...

yes i swapped in the royal purple synthetic oil. says on the bottle 10w30... high performance motor oil.....

well it was $28 and change from the NAPA in Corvallis, Oregon. mapquest it and you can get the information. if you want i will take a picture of it.

i also got a $10 used carpet (for my drumset) and a napa gold oil filter for $6 and change... so doing the math...

leaves the oil to being a buck a quart (got 12 of them).

sorry to say it was the last box of the quart bottles... or i would have gotten more. next time im in napa i'm sure going to pick up some more.

Sorry, im going to have to call you out one this one. you definatly did not get RP for a buck a quart. not even for 5 bucks a quart. I cant imagine RP would never allow that.
