Default Subwoofer enclosures

I know there are several aftermarket ones made by several comanies, but they are darned expensive. What I am wondering is if any of you fine people have designed and built a custom subwoofer enclosure for your gen 2 extended cab rig. I have a 97, pre rear doors so ease of installation would be key as well. Right now I have one simple 12" sitting on the floor behind the console. I would like to custom build a box that sits underneath the back seat that possibly hold two 12"'s or 10"'s. I have tried looking behind the back seat as an option as well, but there seems to be little room there and the seat is difficult to get away from the wall. What have you guys done? Keep in mind I am not looking for competition style bass, I would just like to be able to feel it a little. I like well rounded sound in my vehicles.

jbl makes a really slick box that takes the place of the middle seat. but still leaves it usable. i'm not sure on the web address but search google and you'll find it.

or check out my pics for my sub box i know it's the double door but you can still do something similar.

check out www.hifisoundconnection.com they have been good to me in the past.

Your sub box looks pretty cool !!

You mounted the subs facing forward? Do you think it would have worked well if you mounted them so that they face up into the seat?

Would facing the seat give the backseat passenger a bu.tt massage? I have mines in bazooka tubes took out the damaged/blown ones and put in some new ones seat wont close all way down bout inch but it gives nice sound and i still get storage room under there for basics. Also on the first one the amp would probably under the other seats. The second one looks good.

I removed the under seat storage container and put 2 12" subs in regular boxes under the seat, firing twards the seat. the amp was installed right in the middle. The boxs only stick out about an inch, and the seat still latches down.
