looking for some seat covers...can't find a set that will handle the 40/20/40 seat unless i want to spend $150 on covers that will be covered in mud in a week anyway[:@]

I paid $600.00 dollars for a set of covers back in Oct of 94'. Honest to God, the first rip happened about 2 months ago. Right where my ample cheeks rub when I jump in....lol. You can't beat an almost 12 year old set of covers! The material was super heavy and well stitched. I know it's a lot of money, but you get what you pay for these days. It's VERY hard to find good quality at a fair price.

One suggestion is a set of those neoprene covers. You can hit them with a hose if you want. I think a truck set is around 2 bills though.

Good luck.

Wet Okole used to make the neoprene sets, well worth the money. i used to install em in high school, when they first came out. think they were from newport beach, Ca. not sure, though. and yes, they were waterproof and virtually wearproof.

I got some custom ones off of ebay....I think they ran me $160.00 for the whole cab maybe a lil more.
He put the Ram emblem on them and can put 4x4 or Dodge letters, not a bad job too.

I dont think is the sme guy, but mine are like it:

This may sound a little stupid - but I have used towels for seat covers since I bought the truck new. Just go to Wal-Mart or Target or somewhere similar and get 2 large towels in the color you want for the front seats, 1 medium hand towel for the console, and a beach towel for the back seat if you have a quad cab. I use large safety pins to kind of form the towels around the top of the seat without poking into the seat (fold the corners of the towel and use the safety pin to hold the folds together). I then use some of those tiny bungie cords like truckers use to hang their cb mikes on to pull it tight at the bottom front of the seats. The console towel goes on top of the lid and I used tie wraps to pull it tight in about 3 places under the lid. Yes it still shuts. I also have a couple of those mini bungies hooked in the towel fabric at each side of the lid to hold down papers, napkins, etc. Sounds corny - but it looks decent and is very functional. Cost - about $20. Either take them out and wash them when they get dirty - or get new towels. I have replaced mine 3 times in 5 years. Works for me!
